Risk Manager

Southwestern Medical Ctr Llc

This is a Contract position in Wichita, KS posted August 17, 2021.

Works with hospital Leadership, the Board of Trustees and the Health Support Center (HSC) to develop and implement the risk management, and ethics and compliance programs.

The position is responsible for Southwestern Medical Center risk management activities, which include, but are not limited to: administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis; managing and analyzing risk management data, trending, identifying gaps in results or program aspects; identifying opportunities for improvement; participating in committees to integrate risk management into committee work product; interfacing with HSC on claims management; and minimizing loss to protect the assets of SWMC The position reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization, ensures leadership and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Code of Conduct.

Position reports to the Chief Quality Officer Requirements Position Requirements: Registered Nurse
– Current License, 3-5 years hospital experience, 3-5 years risk management experience.

OR Bachelor’s Degree in related field: Healthcare law, finance, healthcare administration/business, or other pertinent field.

Understanding of healthcare risk, ethics and compliance.

Ability to navigate electronic medical records.

Complies with legal, hospital and departmental policies, procedures and position requirements.
