Solution Architect – Campus & Venue – Lumen MTS

The Role Solution Architect will take a leadership role in a highly visible vertical focused program for Venue and Campus within the Smart Solutions portfolio.

These vertical solutions leverage a wide range of Lumen Products and Services inside of the Managed Technology Services portfolio.

As a member of the Smart Solutions Venue / Campus vertical team, candidate will provide input into strategic decisions which will help shape offerings and direction of the practice while providing oversight of product development and delivery activities for major client engagements.

The Solution Architect will interface with the Smart Solutions team and other internal organization leaders and have direct engagement with Lumen clients (C-level and/or technical staff) regarding potential and sold client engagements.

Will ensure the overall success, developing solutions, timely delivery, operating within the budget for all program activities.

The Main Responsibilities Serve as a member of the Smart Solutions Venue / Campus Vertical leadership team providing input into the direction of the practice including new capability development and partner relationships Develop and maintain relationships with key industry partners across the venue, campus, and mixed-use vertical areas Develop solutions and pricing with partners for venue, campus, and mixed-use vertical areas Develop and review technical solutions for customer engagements to ensure completeness and fit for purpose in meeting key client needs Support the proposal management teams in the design of solutions and the development of content explaining the solutions for RFI, RFP, and other types of responses for customers Manage Vendor SOW and Customer Statement of Work development process Work with Sales, Offer Management, Legal, and partners on Statement of Work from development, review, redlines, approval, signature, implementation, through customer signoff.

Oversee and manage key client implementation activities including tracking of deliverables against agreed upon milestones and performance against financial targets Perform issue and risk management on engagements to ensure successful on time delivery Take lessons learned from client engagements back to leadership team to recommend changes to the product portfolio or other team processes Provide support and training on Smart Solutions Venue and Campus solutions, use cases, and past performance to the Lumen Sales, Sales Engineering, and Sales Overlay organizations Vet new technologies and offerings from industry partners focused on Venue and Campus, participate in POC trials of new vendor capabilities What We Look For in a Candidate Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience and training 2-5 Years Industry experience in one of the following areas: Venue, Campus (Higher Education) Experience leading IT programs in excess of $25m Deep technical knowledge of wired LAN, Wi-Fi, IPTV, Digital Signage, Cellular DAS, Video Security and IP telephony systems in large complex implementations Practice or Product Management leadership experience in a similar large telecommunications or service provider organization Ability to generate financial business cases or complex ROI models for major programs Ability to apply approved technologies and architectures for application to specific requirements for customer engagements.

Salary Min : 87192 Salary Max : 215904 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.

Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation.

Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
